This route offers extraordinary routes along the east side of the Santa Rita Mountains. There are several routes available that can include the historic mining region of Kentucky Camp.  The distances of the routes and challenges of a given route can be tailored to your desires.   This includes a fabulous picnic dinner in Kentucky Camp or nestled along the bank or Gardner Canyon.

  • Bike or drive to the Sonoita, Elgin wine growing region with potential stops at wineries, Hops & Vines, a microbrewery, or a cidery. The Hops and Vines restaurant has music

  • A day hike to the tallest peak in south central Arizona 9,000 feet, a six hour round trip, biking can be done for the initial section then only hiking due to wilderness area restrictions

  • A visit to the historic Empire Ranch Foundation

  • Sonoita Steak Out - Sonoita’s longest running restaurant and saloon serving cowboys, wine enthusiasts, locals and out-of-towners for sixty years.
